Afghanistan records significant growth in trade with Central Asia countries

KABUL, April 5 (Xinhua) -- Afghanistan has recorded a strong rise in its trade with Central Asian countries, with the volume increasing by 43 percent in 2025 compared to the previous year, according to a statement from the Ministry of Industry and Commerce on Sunday.

The ministry highlighted that this growth shows Afghanistan's continued commitment to strengthening economic partnerships within the region, adding that Central Asian nations serve as key partners for Afghanistan.

Officials see this significant uptick in trade as a positive step toward reinforcing Afghanistan's position in regional commerce, which is expected to support greater stability and mutual economic benefits.
