Six new oil fields discovered in Kazakhstan in 2025

ASTANA, April 8 (Xinhua) -- Kazakhstan has discovered six new oil fields with total reserves exceeding 127 million tons in 2025, Kazinform reported Wednesday.

Deputy Energy Minister Yerlan Akbarov said the newly registered fields are mainly located in the Mangystau and Atyrau regions.

Production at the newly identified fields will mainly be undertaken by Kazakh companies, Akbarov further said.
